It's a bit tricky to test as there are various connector pins, and they all have different functions. The most effective method to test it is by measuring the resistance between the ECU and the sensor. If the sensor is functional, it should read about 1000 ohms. Look for signs of coolant or oil in the connector bay if there are problems with this part.
2. Injectors
Yesterday, when i was accelerating to the fullest speed from highway paytoll, I experienced a big cut in power like the engine is running out of gas or injectors are not firing anymore. I took out the spark plugs this morning, 3 were soaked with gasoline and the fourth was dry. I put a piece of tissue over each injector hole and when i start the engine without sparks, the 3 with gazoline jump out. The 4th one stays shut. I checked the ground connection of ECU pins 14,30 and 48/55. I got 0ohm. So i assume the problem is somewhere else.
I also tried to reset PID without success. The car will start if the G28 is not plugged in and it runs perfectly when it is connected but it still has the intermittent misfire issue at higher RPM. The coolant temperature sensor (G62) shows the wrong temperature of that is -49c even after unplugging it. I also noticed that the oil gauge in the cockpit shows 2 bars but the actual pressure is zero.
I'm not certain what to do, i believe that i've eliminated everything else. However, i'm afraid that i might have missed something. Please let me know should you have any suggestions! TIA!
3. Fuel Pump
The fuel pump of the g28 receives a signal from the RPM sensor.
